Definition Edit

Whitelisting software is

[a] form of filtering that only allows connections to a pre-approved list of sites that are considered useful and appropriate for children.[1]

Overview Edit

"Parents sometimes use such software to prevent children from visiting all but certain websites. You can add and remove sites from the 'permitted' list. This method is extremely safe, but allows for only extremely limited use of the Internet."[2]
