Overview Edit

The Department of Homeland Security's Vulnerability Identification Self-Assessment Tool (VISAT) is a voluntary, web-based self-assessment tool that is provided free of charge to critical infrastructure owners and operators. The tool allows the owner/operator to compare its security practices with those of other owners and operators of similar infrastructure.

The goal of VISAT is to raise the level of security awareness in public assembly facilities nationwide and to establish a common baseline of security awareness from which these facilities can build their protection plans.
