Definition Edit

Voicemail (or voice mail, voice-mail, vmail or VMS) is a

computer-based system designed to digitize voice from an analog signal for the purposes of relaying short messages or instructions. Like a sophisticated digital phone-answering machine, messages can be stored and forwarded, edited, retrieved, or distributed to a list of users.[1]
