Definition[]

Under the Video Privacy Protection Act,[1] a video tape service provider is any person engaged in the business of “rental, sale, or delivery of prerecorded video cassette tapes or similar audio visual materials” or any person, who in the ordinary course of business of a service provider, receives disclosures of customer information.
