Uniform Information Practices Act (Modified) (1998), codified at chapter 92F, Haw. Rev. Stat ("UIPA") (full-text).
The Act is Hawaii's public records law. The law mandates that all government records be open to public inspection unless access is specifically restricted or closed by law. The Office of Information Practices ("OIP") was created by the Legislature in 1988 to administer the UIPA.
