Definition
A USB token (also called USB storage key and USB token device) is typically a small vehicle for storing data. They are difficult to duplicate and are tamper-resistant.
Overview
The USB token is plugged directly into the USB port of a computer, avoiding the need for any special hardware on the user’s computer. However, a login and password are still required to access the information contained on the device.
