Citation Edit

United States v. White, 401 U.S. 745 (1971) (full-text).

Supreme Court Proceedings Edit

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that agents can be wired for sound and still be covered by the assumption of risk of the "trusted confidant" doctrine, reasoning that the risk did not increase materially simply because the informers were transmitting the conversation electronically.
