Overview Edit

In August 2002, the U.S. Army established the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Army Signal Command (renamed NETCOM/9th Signal Command (Army) in 2006) as the "single authority to operate, manage, and defend the Army's enterprise level infostructure," in response to the increasing complexity and growth of security threats to the Army's portion of the worldwide web, known as LandWarNet.[1]
