The Transportation Information Sharing System is a database owned by TSA’s FAMS component; the data entered into it may be shared with other federal, state, or local law enforcement and law enforcement support entities. Federal air marshals file reports related to the observation of suspicious activities and input this information, as well as incident reports submitted by airline employees and other individuals within the aviation domain, into the Transportation Information Sharing System.
