State of Michigan, The Smart Grid Collaborative Report to the Michigan Public Service Commission (Dec. 2011) (full-text).

Overview[]

In November 2010, the Michigan Public Service Commission established a Smart Grid Section within the Electric Reliability Division. In response to the initiation of smart grids pilot projects that could potentially lead to full deployment, the entrance of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) into the marketplace, and increased interest in smart grid national policy; the Commission directed the Smart Grid Section staff to actively lead a collaborative process — examining the challenges and solutions related to smart grid development and deployment in Michigan. This report is the result of that process.
