De Clercq Advocaten Notarissen, The Legal Aspects of 3D Printing from a European Perspective (Nov. 2015) (full-text).
This white paper discusses the extent to which current laws and regulations address legal issues raised in the wake of the rapid development in the area of 3D printing. The emphasis lies on the issues that arise from intellectual property law (IP), and more specifically copyright law, patent law, design rights law, and trademark law. In addition to these IP issues, this paper also discusses the doctrine of product liability as it relates to 3D printing.
