National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), Legislative and Regulatory Group (LRG), Telecommunications Outage and Intrusion Information Sharing Report (June 1999) (full-text).

Overview[]

The NSTAC Legislative and Regulatory Group (LRG) agreed at its November 3, 1998, meeting to develop a report addressing the existing and proposed channels that telecommunications companies use to share outage and intrusion information.

This report is intended for use by other NSTAC subgroups to continue addressing critical information sharing processes and issues as they unfold. In addition, further analysis and understanding of the lessons learned by the entities examined in this report could provide the foundation for determining best practices for information sharing at the National level and could be beneficial to those entities responsible for implementing Presidential Decision Directive 63, Protecting America's Critical Infrastructures.
