Overview[]
The report clarifies briefly what is meant by Cloud Computing for its purposes (it is not the purpose to develop a comprehensive vocabulary, taxonomy or architecture, although this might be identified as a future requirement).
The report also surveys the current state of standards relevant for Cloud Computing and:
- identifies what exists, both in terms of bodies and in terms of standards; and
- identifies any apparent major deficiencies and issues (it is possible to base this in part on a structured analysis of existing standards, but it also includes any observations considered pragmatically relevant irrespective of the analytical framework used).
