Soft biometric traits are

characteristics that provide some identifying information about an individual, but lack the distinctiveness and permanence to sufficiently differentiate any two individuals. Examples of soft biometrics traits include a person's height, weight, gender, eye color, ethnicity, mitochondrial DNA, and SMT.[1]
