A security infraction is

[a] security incident involving a deviation from current governing security regulations that does not result in an unauthorized disclosure or compromise of national intelligence information nor otherwise constitutes a security violation.[1]
[a] security incident that is not in the best interest of security and does not involve the loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified information.[2]
