Uniform Commercial Code Edit

Under Section 2-106(1) of the Uniform Commercial Code (U.C.C.), a sale "consists in the passing of title from the seller to the buyer for a price."

U.S. copyright law Edit

A sale of a work may either be a transfer in title of an individual copy of a work, or a sale of all exclusive intellectual property rights in a work.[1]
