Definition[]

A safe search filter is software that filters objectionable content from search results. This can help block a great deal of content that children might inadvertently stumble upon or intentionally seek during searches. Users are typically allowed to choose from three setting levels ranging from unfiltered to highly filtered. These filters tend to focus primarily on pornography and adult content. This feature may provide an important addition to a parent’s Internet management as it can provide filtering of search, which is often not provided by commercial filtering products.
