Energetics, Roadmap to Secure Control Systems in the Energy Sector (2006) (full-text).

Overview Edit

This publication was prepared for the DOE and DHS in 2006. It established a common vision and strategic framework for industry and government to develop, deploy, and maintain control systems that could survive an intentional cyber assault without loss of critical functions. This publication was constructed using the collective insights of the control systems community, including owners and operators, commercial vendors, national laboratories, industry associations, academia, government agencies, and members of the international community. As a result, a number of diverse efforts and ideas aligned toward common goals and the knowledge and resources of other sector stakeholders were better leveraged.

The release of this publication marked the beginning of a national and international collaborative public-private partnership for increased cybersecurity in the energy sector.

A 2011 update to this document titled Roadmap to Achieve Energy Delivery Systems Cybersecurity is available here.
