Definition Edit

A reservation of rights clause is a contractual provision under which one party reserves certain rights in the subject matter of the agreement to itself.

Sample clause Edit

All rights in the Work not specifically granted to Licensee, now or hereafter known, developed or in existence and whether or not competitive with the rights granted herein, are reserved to the Licensor in all forms of media throughout the world for the Licensor's use or disposition at his sole discretion, without obligation to the Licensee.
