Definition Edit

A reciprocal agreement is

[a]n agreement whereby two organizations with similar computer systems agree to provide computer processing time for the other in the event one of the systems is rendered inoperable. Processing time may be provided on a “best effort” or as “time available” basis; therefore, reciprocal agreements are not usually acceptable as a primary recovery option.[1]
