The DHS Privacy Office's Privacy Policy and Advocacy Team (PPAT) bears primary responsibility for the development of DHS privacy policy, as well as providing subject matter expertise and support for policy development throughout the Department in areas that impact individual privacy, such as information sharing, enterprise data management, cybersecurity, international engagement, and intelligence products. PPAT is also responsible for supporting the privacy training, public outreach, and reporting functions of the DHS Privacy Office.
