Definition Edit

At the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a Privacy Point of Contact (PPOC) is an individual who is responsible for privacy within his or her component, directorate, or major program, but is not a full-time Privacy Officer. Their privacy-related duties may be in addition to their primary responsibilities. Like Component Privacy Officers, PPOCs work closely with Component Program Managers and the DHS Privacy Office to manage privacy matters within DHS.
