Overview[]

The Privacy Committee (Federal CIO Council Privacy Committee) is

the principal interagency forum to improve agency practices for the protection of privacy. The Privacy Committee serves as the interagency coordination group for Senior Agency Officials for Privacy and Chief Privacy Officers in the Federal Government that provides a consensus-based forum for the development of privacy policy and protections throughout the Federal Government by promoting adherence to the letter and spirit of laws and best practices advancing privacy.[1]
