Principal electronic warfare activities (also called principal EW activities)

support unified land operations by exploiting the opportunities and vulnerabilities inherent in the use of the electromagnetic spectrum. The numerous principal EW activities are categorized by the three EW divisions: electronic attack, electronic warfare support, and electronic protection.[1]
