Polymorphic malware is

malware whose internal structure or content constantly changes, making it much harder for traditional pattern-matching anti-malware programs to detect.[1]
[m]alicious software that is designed to continuously change its appearance, allowing it to evade legacy security detection technology such as antivirus software.[2]
