Definition Edit

Point surveillance is

the temporary or continuous observation of a place (such as a structure), person, or object. . . . It is the most limited in geographic scope of all forms of surveillance.[1]

Overview Edit

"Point surveillance may involve tracking people. When surveillance involves tracking people, the 'point' is that person or persons, regardless of movement and location. Tracking people normally requires a heavier commitment of assets and close coordination for handoff to ensure continuous observation."[2]
