Pervasive computing is

[a] concept which describes a situation in which computing capability is embedded into numerous different devices around the home or office (e.g. fridges, washing machines, cars, etc.).[1]
the growing trend towards embedding microprocessors in everyday objects so they can communicate information. Such computing devices are completely connected and constantly available.[2]
