Definition Edit

A performance specification is

[a] baseline specification that describes what a computer-based business system is to do. It is completed at the conclusion of the study phase.[1]

Overview (Software) Edit

"A performance specification consists of a set of specified numbers that can be reduced to measured numbers, often in the form of a probability distribution. The numbers measured for the software product are either less or more than or equal to the specified values. If less, the software product fails, if more than or equal to, the software product passes the tests."[2]}}
