The PCMCIA (acronym for Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) was a trade association responsible for promulgating standards for integrated circuit cards, including PC cards and Express Cards.
The Association was dissolved in 2009, and all of its activities are now managed by the USB Implementer's Forum.
