Overview[]
These revised Guidelines update and simplify earlier guidance issued on March 30, 1979. The revision is the result of OMB evaluation of agencies' operating experiences under the original Guidelines. The new Guidelines incorporate many agency recommendations for clarifications and changes. In addition, they greatly simplify the notice and reporting requirements of the earlier version.
