Overview Edit

This Report examines the policies that the Bush Administration implemented to remove regulatory obstacles, foster economic incentives, and encourage investment in the development and deployment of broadband technologies. It also outlines steps the Bush Administration has taken to help jump-start market forces by providing seed-funding to advance broadband deployment in underserved and rural areas. Finally, it documents the statistical evidence that demonstrates the burgeoning competitive broadband marketplace that has emerged in the United States over the last several years and the commensurate increases in accessibility and affordability that American consumers enjoy as a result.
