The PLA's military dictionary defines network warfare (网络 战, wangluo zhan) is

also known as network confrontation. The destruction of the adversary's network of information systems and network information, the undermining of effectiveness of the adversary's use of its capabilities, while protecting one's own network of information systems and information in cyberspace.[1]

Network warfare (NW) is
