Definition Edit

Network interoperability

refers to making discrete networks able to exchange information. Network interoperability involves developing or translating between common transport protocols and making physical (whether wired or wireless) connections between networks. Recent migrations to TCP/IP-based networks have substantially enabled network interoperability.[1]
