A network facilities provider (NFP) is an entity that owns or operates facilities such as satellite earth stations, broadband fiber optic cables, telecommunications lines and exchanges, radiocommunications transmission equipment, mobile communications base stations, and broadcasting transmission towers and equipment, which provide access to a network.
