The National Television System Committee (NTSC) was a committee composed of industry representatives that established the NTSC standard for black-and-white television in 1940, and color television in the early 1950s. The NTSC system was used in 32 countries the United States, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, most of South America and islands in the Caribbean and the Pacific.
