The National Disclosure Policy (NDP-1) (National Policy and Procedures for the Disclosure of Classified Military Information to Foreign Governments and International Organizations) is a document that promulgates national policy and procedures in the form of specific disclosure criteria and limitations, definition of terms, release arrangements, and other guidance required by U.S. departments and agencies having occasion to disclose classified information to foreign governments and international organizations. NDP-1 establishes and provides for management of interagency mechanisms and procedures required for effective implementation of the national policy.
