Overview Edit

The Librarian of Congress established the National Digital Strategy Advisory Board (NDSAB), comprising representatives from other federal agencies, industry, research libraries, and foundations. The Board was charged, among other things, to provide advice on national strategies for the long-term preservation of digital materials; advice on identifying and prioritizing national issues such as intellectual property and rights management, requirements for archiving and repositories, planning for life-cycle management of digital content, and promoting collaboration among stakeholders; and advice on practical applications and modeling of preservation strategies.
