National Counterintelligence Policy Board

Overview

The National Counterintelligence Policy Board (NCIPB) was established on May 3, 1994, by Presidential Decision Directive 24. Chaired by the National Counterintelligence Executive, the Board consists of senior personnel of departments and elements of the United States Government, appointed by the head of the department or element concerned, as follows:

• Department of State
• Department of Defense, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff
• Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation
• Department of Energy
• Department of Homeland Security, and
• Central Intelligence Agency.
