Definition Edit

Million Theoretical Operations Per Second (MTOP) is a measurement of the theoretical, maximum processing speed of a supercomputer.

Overview Edit

The actual MTOPs a computer can perform over time can vary, based on the operations performed (some can take longer than others or can be performed while other operations take place) and the real time cycle of the computer.[1]
