Definition Edit

Localization is the process of changing a product or service to meet the requirements of a particular market.

Overview Edit

Localization normally involves translating product instructions, packaging, advertising, and in the case of software and websites translation of the screen displays into one or more local languages. However, localization also can involve changes to account for cultural differences, as well as porting software to the most popular hardware platforms in that market.
