Definition Edit

A Local User Terminal (LUT) is a satellite receiving unit ground station that receive emergency beacon distress alerts relayed from the satellites. There are two-types of LUTs, the Low Earth Orbiting LUTs (LEOLUTs) and the Geostationary LUTs (GEOLUTs).[1]
