General Accounting Office, Information Technology: Computer Center Activities, Sergeant at Arms, U.S. Senate (FGMSD-77-16) (Mar. 11, 1977) (full-text).

Overview[]

Review of the operations of the computer center operated by the Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. Senate indicated that there are many areas in which improvements could be made. Computer tasks delivered to the center were generally closely controlled on delivery to the reception desk and throughout the processing. Standards for system development have not been established in the computer center. Steps are being taken to hire an employee to begin development of overall computer center standards. The salaries of computer center personnel are generally comparable to those of other agencies and commercial firms.
