Overview[]

The Information Sharing and Safeguarding Governance Board (ISSGB) (formerly the Information Sharing Governance Board) serve as the Department of Homeland Security's governance mechanism for both information sharing and safeguarding. The ISSGB directs and provides oversight to the Information Sharing Coordination Council (ISCC) and the Information Safeguarding and Risk Management Council (ISRMC) to develop and implement policies and procedures for information sharing (e.g., ISCC) and develop and implement policies and procedures for information safeguarding (e.g., ISRMC).
