The Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band is an unlicensed part of the RF spectrum used for general purpose data communications. In the United States, the ISM bands are 915MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.5 GHz. Elsewhere it is 2.4 GHz.
