Overview Edit

The Individual Reference Services Group was a self-regulatory organization formed in 1997 for companies providing information that identifies or locates individuals. It ceased functioning in 2001 because it said self-regulation was no longer necessary due to the enactment of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
