Imitative electromagnetic deception is

[t]he introduction of electromagnetic energy into enemy systems that imitates enemy emissions. Imitating enemy electromagnetic radiation (predominantly communications) through his electromagnetic channels to deceive him or to disrupt his operations.[1]
