This is the third report in the "ITU Internet Reports" series (previously known as "Challenges to the Network"). The subject is Internet Protocol (IP) Telephony. Individual chapters discuss and analyse the issues surrounding IP telephony, and also include definitions of IP telephony and its technical aspects, its recent popularity and growth as well as the regulatory aspects of IP telephony.
The report provides some 147 pages of analysis, complete with data tables and charts. The report also provides data on the status of the public telephone network, PC penetration, ISDN and data communications.
