The IEEE P2413 was formed in 2014 to promote cross-domain interaction, aid system interoperability and functional compatibility in the IoT. The IEEE P2313 also defines an architectural framework for the IoT, including abstractions and a common vocabulary. It emphasizes a “blueprint for data abstraction and the quality quadruple (protection, security, privacy, and safety).”[1]
