A human-on-the-loop weapon (also called a human-supervised weapon is/are

[a] [r]obot[] that can select targets and deliver force under the oversight of a human operator who can override the robots' actions.[1]
[r]obotic weapons which can carry out a targeting process independently from human command, but which remain under the real-time supervision of a human operator who can override any decision to attack.[2]
