The Global Telecommunication Grid (GTG)

consists of the public-switched telecommunications network (PSTN), various forms of Internet protocol (IP) networks including the current Internet, managed enterprise networks and other IP networks (e.g., converged services), and cable networks. It is the means to collaborate, share information, and achieve and maintain information security.[1]
